Hello Pumpkin Cake

Make a pumpkin cake and top it with a Hello Pumpkin Cake Topper for the next baby shower or fall celebration. This cake is moist and has a delicious spicy flavour. My family loved it!!  It is topped with a cream cheese icing and Crystal Sprinkles.

Kim’s Pumpkin Cake

1 3/4 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoons cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon cloves

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

2 large eggs

2 cups pumpkin puree ( canned)

1/2 cup canola oil

1 tablespoon milk

1 teaspoon vanilla


  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a 9 inch round Cake Pan with parchment paper on the bottom.
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt and spices. Whisk together to combine.
  • In a small bowl combine eggs, pumpkin puree, canola oil, milk and vanilla.
  • Pour the pumpkin mixture into the flour mixture and stir will a fork until combined. The batter will be thick.
  • Bake for 45 minutes at 350F. Cool for 7 minutes before unmolding.
  • Decorate cake with Cream Cheese Icing and Crystal Sprinkles and a cute Hello Pumpkin Cake Topper
